COMESVIL S.p.A. (COMESVIL) is an Italian registered company specializing in automation systems for signaling and telecommunications systems primarily for the railway / metro industry. Today COMESVIL is ranked among the leaders in the specific industry with a global presence at home, in Europe and abroad. COMESVIL’s technology has been the first of its kind, with the realization of the only driverless train -to the date- at Princess Noura University for Women, in Riyadh. COMESVIL’s success story has its origins back in the early decade of the seventies as a manufacturer of metallic carpentry initially for the Italian electrical grid as well as for civil engineering infrastructures such as road flyovers, bridges and the like. At the beginning of the eighties the rapid development of the Italian railway network COMESVIL converted the manufacturing and installation of signalling, blocking and lighting systems, hence upgrading its capacity to a larger size industrial and construction reality. The Company further expanded its activity with the development and the manufacturing of telecommunication and optical fiber systems (WI - LAN) for the Railway and Metro Network –conventional and driverless systems- in Italy and abroad
